A while back I got into a discussion with a fellow music fan telling me that bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Kiss and the like had to move aside for the newer wave of metal bands to headline festivals, appear on the cover of all of the hard rock and metal magazines, video channels, etc. Unfortunately people don’t realize that this all comes down to economics, if a band isn’t pulling people in, there is no way they’re going to headline instead of any of the bands listed. Should these bands move on? What newer bands have you been listening to lately?
