Megadeth, Tremonti, Exmortus, Pig + More
Here are some of the albums that will be released today:
Megadeth – Killing Is My Business…And Business Is Good: The Final Kill
Well, Megadeth has decided to remix and remaster their debut album….again! Apparently, this is, stop me if you’ve heard this before, the way Dave Mustaine intended this album to sound when it came out.
This version included parts that were previously unheard throughout the album, “These Boots” that has appeared previously, then removed, and now back again, demos and live versions of a lot of the songs that appear on the album. Regardless of how you feel about the band’s previous re-releases, you can’t help but love the original source material.
Tremonti – A Dying Machine
The Alter Bridge/Creed guitarist returns with his fourth album under this moniker, which is what he seems to use for his heavier riffs. The album is also a concept album and is being heralded as the band’s best, and most rounded album to date.
Several reviews are already pinning the rock album of the year award on the album or mentioning it as an album that will undoubtedly be on a lot of rock reviewers’ year-end list.
Pig – Risen
Raymond Watts, also known for KMFDM, is back with Pig, and drops a new album Risen, the first release of new material since 2015’s EP Pig V Primitive Race. The new album is full of collaborations with industrial hard rock and metal heavyweights, Tim Skold, En Esch, Ben Christo, Z. Marr, and Oumi Kapila.
Exmortus – The Sound Of Steel
The L.A. darkened thrash band returns with their fifth album, The Sound Of Steel. Known for meandering between death metal and thrash, the band pulls in influences from both American bands and European bands alike. If you are not familiar with the band, think a mix between Entombed and Megadeth.
