News: Upcoming Releases – Korn, Killswitch Engage And Baby Metal

Korn The Nothing

KORN, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE & BABY METAL

There are a few heavyweights that will be releasing albums in the next few months, and because of this have been releasing new videos to prime us for their releases.

Korn is about to release their new album The Nothing in September, as a result, they have released this video for the track “You’ll Never Find Me”.  Although people are labeling this as a return to a heavier sound, they’ve never really lost their heaviness, the song still has the melodies that they have been good at infusing in their music, but producer Nick Raskulinecz seems to have taken a less poppy approach when producing the track, especially the chorus.  I will say that song sounds a lot rawer than their previous few outings, I am looking forward to this release.

Killswitch engage will be releasing Atonement in August, the album will see the return of former lead singer Howard Jones on one track “The Signal Fire”, and legendary Testament frontman Chuck Billy on “The Crownless King”.  The band has released its first single off of the album called “Unleashed”:

Whether you want to admit it or not Babymetal is a big band, they’re huge in Japan, and sorry in the 80s that might have been a joke, but in 2019 that means you’re making more money than most bands. They have a devote following all over the world and help draw people to metal, they’re a gateway for a lot of people that then discover other bands that may also interest them. I see that as a good thing for the genre.
