FOO FIGHTERS RETURN WITH A LIVE ALBUM

Happy New Year to all.  Given the New Years’ hangover, the record industry doesn’t tend to go back to normal until the second week of January. That said, we bring you two releases for today:

Foo Fighters – 00959525

The Foos have been releasing these kinds of EPs from time to time. This is a combination of b-sides and live recordings from back in 1995, around the time of the self-titled debut. It is a glimpse back in time to the early days of the band. They tend to release these digitally first and have done Record Store Day vinyl releases in the past.

Stabbing Westward – Dead And Gone

I have been a fan of this band since hearing “Shame” off of Wither Blister Burn & Peel. Darkest Days which was released back in the 90s is one of my all-time favorite albums, I listen to it all the time and actually listened to the track “Haunting Me” off of it yesterday. The band broke up in 2002 after the release of their self-titled full-length album and has been reuniting off and on since 2010. This EP consists of three new songs and two remixes. The band will be releasing three EPs that will eventually make up a full-length album.
