CODE ORANGE DROP UNDERNEATH
Here are some of the albums that come out today.
Code Orange – Underneath
Here’s a band that I’ve come to know thanks to wrestling. They performed live at an NXT pay-per-view a few years back, and are responsible for the Bray Wyatt’s Fiend theme song.
Essentially his previous theme song was revamped into a heavier song. Code Orange could be the next big thing in rock and metal.
They have already cultivated a decent following, and although they’re labeled as a hardcore band, Underneath sees them experiment and infuse other elements that no other hardcore band is using.
They’ve definitely expanded upon their previous releases and tried to offer something different. This album feels as if it has no boundaries, and the band just did what they wanted.
We’ll see if it, to borrow a wrestling term, puts them over or not. A pairing of them with someone like a Metallica could help take them to the next level.
Gotthard – #13
Switzerland has had some fairly well-known bands emerge over the years. Krokus, Shakra, in recent years Burning Witches, and of course Gotthard.
The band has had its ups and downs over the years but has never really strayed from their hard rock formula.
They have procured sixteen number one selling albums over their twenty-eight years of existence and sold over three million albums worldwide.
If you’re a fan of the band, this album will not disappoint you. If you’re looking for a solid 80s flavored hard rock album, with a modern sound and feel, this might be the album for you.
Wolf – Feeding The Machine
The Swedish heavy metal band is back with a revamped lineup that includes former King Diamond bassist Pontus Egberg and Therion/Hammerfall drummer Johan Kullberg.
This is the band’s eighth full-length album, their first since 2014’s Devil Seed.
