CASSIUS KING RETURN WITH FIELD TRIP
Friend of the show Dan Lorenzo has just released a new album called Field Trip under the name of Cassius King. If you’re keeping score, you’ll know that Dan’s been using this name for quite some time. He usually uses the name when releasing solo material.
But this time around, he’s got Jason McMaster, who is best known for his work in Dangerous Toys, Watchtower, and a bunch of other bands, lending his vocals to the entire album. Rounding the band out are Ron Lipnicki, and Jimmy Schulman, who have been the rhythm section with Vessel Of Light for the last few years.
People are obviously going to compare both Vessel Of Light to this Cassius King album. There is no reason you can’t listen to or love both.
In any event, here’s the information that was sent to me about the video for “Cleopatra’s Needle”:
Fresh off of releasing their debut album Field Trip on California’s Nomad Eel Records yesterday, Cassius King have just released their first full length video for the song “Cleopatra’s Needle”. The video was produced by Jason C. Stewart who also produced the “Last Ride” and “Torture King” videos off the last Vessel Of Light album.
This is what Dan Lorenzo had to say about Stewart’s work:
Jason has become my go-to-guy the last year and a half. His enthusiasm is off the charts and at this point I let him to whatever he wanted for "Cleopatra's Needle" and I think it's just as much fun to watch as it is to listen to.
