Patrons submitted their top ten albums of the year. Each album received a score, depending on where it ranked, and the album with the most points was ranked number one.

Senjutsu is Iron Maiden’s seventeenth full-length studio album. It is their first since 2015’s The Book Of Souls.
This is the band’s second double album, back to back with the aforementioned The Book Of Souls. It is their most successful album, having charted at number one in twenty-three countries. It peaked at number two in the U.K. and number three in the U.S.
As a result, it is no surprise that it was the album that received the most amount of points. It has been featured on a ton of online publications year-end lists. Receiving the top album of the year award from more than one, including this site’s top honors.
The album was originally recorded and set to be released in 2019, but locked away in a vault until the COVID pandemic subsided. It was recorded at Guillaume Tell studio in Paris and produced by Kevin Shirley.
