New Releases: January 21, 2022 – The Ferrymen

The Ferrymen On More River To Cross

THE FERRYMEN ARE BACK WITH ALBUM NUMBER THREE

This is round number three for The Ferrymen. For those that don’t know, or haven’t seen the album’s cover, which is displayed above, the band is made up of Magnus Karlsson, Ronnie Romero, and Mike Terrana. The trio is made up of all-star musicians in their own right, having played with Rainbow, Primal Fear, Yngwie Malmsteen, and a ton more. Magnus has been one of Frontiers Records’ main go-to guys for the last few years, no surprise this album is on Frontiers.

If you’re into what Frontiers offers, you’re going to love this album. If you’re into the Whitesnake formula of a few heavy riff-driven songs mixed in with some ballads, you’ll probably love this album. It’s a pretty standard release by the band. Nothing that really sucks, and nothing that really stands out either.

I felt that with the band’s previous album A New Evil, they turned things up a notch, especially Magnus, and his playing. He sounded like John Sykes on that album to me, and here on One More River To Cross, he’s come back to the pack. Again, his playing isn’t bad, it’s just what you’ve come to expect.

Although I think the band has taken a step back, I encourage you to check the album out below, and form your own opinion!

Here are The Ferrymen with the track "One Word" off of their latest album One More River To Cross.
