New Releases: June 3, 2022 – Crobot

Crobot - Feel This

Crobot has been going at it for over a decade. They have been getting all kinds of attention during that time from my fellow podcasters, and online publications. I liked certain things they have released, but also feel like they’ve had a Jekyll and Hyde complex. Some of their material is beyond great, and other songs have left me thinking “is this the same band?”

I don’t know if Feel This is another one of those albums that benefitted from the pandemic. I’ve talked about this ad nauseam. How a lot of bands have taken additional of the additional time allotted to them due to the pandemic. The album is a very strong beginning to end. To me, it feels as if they’ve really upped their game from the sonic side of things, and from a compositional side of things.

If you’ve never heard of Crobot, now is the time to check them out. Feel This is no one-trick pony. It mixes various styles of rock, sounds great, and is very easy to listen to.

This is album number four, their first since 2019’s Motherbrain. They have also released three EPs along the way.

Crobot hails from the mighty Pottsville, Pennsylvania!

The band is currently on Mascot Label Group. This is the second album for Mascot.

The band has been at it since 2011.

Here is Crobot with the track "Electrified" off of their latest album Feel This.
